Sages Day

Our theme for March 1, 2026 SAGES Day is “Anchored: Sure & Stedfast.”

“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast…” Hebrews 6:19

Did you know - the United States celebrates Sages Day on March 1 each year? Yes - it really happens.

The UPCI now joins that celebration. On March 1 or the Sunday before March 1, churches are encouraged to involve those of the Sage age. If this is done meaningfully, the Sages Day service provides an opportunity to invite unchurched family members to church.

As most know, church growth comes via "household evangelism" - the oikas principle. The people who attend the Sages Day service to celebrate their family member or friend are the most likely to be receptive to a Home Bible Study and to a follow-up cup of coffee or lunch.

How about passing this tidbit of scheduling opportunity forward to your pastor?
